I read a couple of blogs today and people were saying which OS is better blah blah blah... So I was wondering what is your favorite OS?

This one is a hard one to answer since all of the OS's have their good points and bad. At the same time I am getting tired of Windows since it is bloated (15 gigs on my DV1040) and constantly needs updating and there has not been a great thing with Windows in awhile. All new versions since 98 are just to fix the bugs. The problem I have is that 98% of the programs I use are Windows only. If they were to come out on another OS I would probably change.

At work I use use a Mac, Windows XP and Linux.

I like Mac's as far their user interface. The problem I have with MAc's is that everything is propritary. You cannot do something on a Mac and then read it on a Windows computer. Another issue with Mac's is their lack of software.

With Linux I like how it has a shareware community based theme and how people will make changes to a program for you for free. Again, the main problem here is finding the programs.

each OS has it's purposes, my opinion is as follows:

Best all around personal computer: OSX (great UI and simple to use, but BSD based underneath for power users)
Best Gaming platform: Windows 2000/XP
Best Home-based/non-mission-critical server: Linux
Best Server (Mission-critical): Unix (I prefer HPUX 11.x simply because I'm an HPUX admin, and know it best :P ...but all POSIX based operating systems are basically the same)

I like Fedora, it's pretty nice. Another one that I like is Sabayon.

I use all three. OS X is my favorite, but windows 7 is also good. Ubuntu 9.10 is good, but I have compatibility problems with it. It has a lot of free software, which I like.
